Mike Hale

Eagle Scout Mike Hale is the Scout Executive. Mike began his Scouting career with our council in 1986 as the District Executive in the old Three Rivers District and lived in Beatrice. Mike then served the old Cottonwood District in Lincoln.

Mike also served in Highland Park, Illinois as the Camping Director, as Program Director in Mt. Prospect Illinois, and as the Director of Support Service for the Dan Beard Council in Cincinnati, Ohio. In Cincinnati Mike was given the opportunity to build a brand new Scout Reservation from the ground up which was the result of a 17 million dollar capital campaign... This included the building of the facilities, planning the program, and hiring 150 staff. Mike is a life long Scouter who was a Scoutmaster in Kansas City before his first years of service with the Cornhusker Council.

He is a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow, has been on Wood Badge Staff, a National Camping School Director and is the recipient of the St. George Award. Mike is a Rotarian. His hobbies include bowling and landscaping.

Mike is married to Lynda and they have 4 children, Chris 23, Michael 19, Nicole 6, and Briana 5.
