National Youth Leadership TrainingNational Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a seven-day outdoor experience for youth leaders in support of the Scoutmaster’s responsibility for the training of troop youth leaders. It’s conducted under the leadership of the Course Director and trained staff using the BSA National Youth Leadership Training Staff Guide, Staff Development Guide and Syllabus. The NYLT syllabus is written by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and is very similar in style and quality to Wood Badge, which is a training course available for adult leaders. Any Scout that is at least First Class and 13 years of age, upon recommendation of their Scoutmaster, can attend. If you are preparing to be in a leadership role in your Troop, this is a must week of camp for you.
If you have any questions about National Youth Leadership Training please contact NYLT Course Director, Daryl Bohac at 402-786-5270.
