Varsity Scout Team Requirements

The unit must achieve six of 10 to qualify as a National Quality Team. (Four starred [*] items are required, plus two additional items equal six total.)

1. * Training The Varsity Scout team Coach will complete Varsity Scout Leader Fast Start Training and Vasity Scout Leader Fundamentals.
   
   
2. * Two-Deep Leadership We will have one or more assistant Coaches registered, trained, and active. One registered adult is assigned responsibility for Youth Protection training.
   
   
3. * Outdoor Activities The Varsity Scout team will participate in at least one organized league sport a participate in at least one ultimate adventure.
   
   
4. * On-Time Charter Renewal The team will complete its charter renewal before its current charter expires.
   
   
5. Planned Program Our team will conduct an annual program planning conference, publish an annual program calendar, and present it to parents at a family activity.
   
   
6. Service Project To be conducted annually, preferably for the chartered organization or the community.
   
   
7. Boys' Life A subscription to Boys' Life will go into the homes of all our Varsity Scout members, or we will have a 10 percent increase over a year ago.
   
   
8. Varsity Scout Letter Fifty percent or more of our Varsity Scouts will earn a Varsity Scout letter.
   
   
9. Membership We will renew our charter with an equal or greater number of youth registered over a year ago.
   
   
10. Youth Leadership The team captain and squad leaders will participate in youth leadership training at least once a year.
